My Poor Potato Baby

Sometimes when Emily is crying, I'll rock her and say, "Ohhhh, pobrecita, are you okay?"  (poor little girl)

Well, I guess I say it a lot.  In the car after church she started crying and Matthew says to her, "Oh, papita, you okay?  Oh papita!"  Lol!

I said, "Matthew, did you know you're calling her a little potato?"  He smiled, said no and they all died laughing.  I tried to tell him how to say it, but now they all keep calling her a papita because they think it's funny.  Nerds.

I love it!

Joshua:  Mommy, do you remember in Lord of the Rings when Frodo is trying to get into the volcano mountain and the evil guy Gollum is chasing him?  I re-created it in Lego form.

Good morning!

Matthew v. The Door

We were walking into the building at school this morning and I was carrying the car seat out in front of me with both hands.  Matthew was holding onto my left coat pocket with his right hand.  There were double doors and a nice lady was holding the right door open for me to walk through.  However, as we tried to walk through, we came to an abrupt stop when Matthew slammed into the closed door on the left of me.

Me:  Matthew, are you ok??
Matthew:  Yes. (holds his forehead)
Me:  Why did you run into the door?? Were your eyes closed?
Matthew:  Yes.
Me:  Why were you walking with your eyes closed?
Matthew:  I don't know. (still rubbing forehead)
Me:  Are you gonna do that again?
Matthew:  No, that really hurt.

He was okay, just a little bump.  But man, he hit that door hard.  Once I knew he was okay, it was really hard not to laugh.  :o)

Teams

Joshua just said to me, "We just invented teams:  Team Mommy versus Team Daddy.  Right now, I'm on Team Daddy."  Uh... no!

Hello

Our kids do and say some pretty interesting stuff sometimes.  And it's really too much for me to be posting on Facebook, so I'm gonna put it all here.  So yeah, I started this blog because I need a place where I can "write down" what they say and do, and I figured our family might get a kick out of them too.

Some days I might post a "play-by-play" of what's going on or just funny stuff they did, or it might be a couple of weeks between posts.  We'll just see how it goes.  I know some of y'all love to hear about this stuff and I forget to tell y'all way too often.  So I hope you enjoy.  :o)
