September 1st
Emily said she was just too tired for today.
That's better! :o)
Joshua's class did an exercise on how a president gets elected - electoral college, how campaigns affect votes, etc. Based on Joshua's campaign strategy, he won!
They even gave him this great mock-article congratulating him.
Yes, he is now considering being president one day.
:oD
We went to Emily's Open House.
And she made an Emily to sit in her seat.
School playground!
She is thrilled to be going to school. :o)
She's been working on a book.
I got an early peek at one page.
Awwwwwww. That girl makes me smile.
(PS - She asked Evie to write the words for her.)
:oD
Daddy and Emily worked hard on a new craft project.
Any ideas what it is??
It's a Barbie clothes closet!
Ha, yeah, they had a great time putting it together.
And she's sooooo happy! :o)
Found a stamped letter for me.
#sass ;o)
Saturday the 12th, Joshua and Evelyn had extra band practice for their Show Band.
:o)
Later, Emily was channeling her inner Olivia Newton-John, but I guess that wore her out.
We took Evelyn shopping for new glasses.
She went with the pair in the first picture. :o)
This girl was obsessed with Halloween and couldn't wait for it to be here!
*sigh* Then good times at the park.
:o)
Emily got to be the Star of the Week.
That means her good behavior allowed her to be the line-leader and she got to change the calendar. :o)
This year, she started going to PSR with the kids.
PSR = Parish School of Religion or CCE, Church Class
She enjoys it so much!
(Maybe it's cuz she's in my kindergarten class.) ;o)
This is Paligator.
He is sent home with the kids to remind them that the next day is their turn to bring snacks for the class.
He comes home with a journal, and Emily can draw a picture of what she and Pali got to do, what they ate for dinner, etc. She loves Paligator!
Emily's teacher sent me this picture one day and said that Emily said she was dressed up to go out on a date!
Ha!
She also got to visit her first School Book Fair!
:o)
Hi Matthew!
On the 17th, I visited Evelyn at school for a Constitution Day event.
She made a short presentation on what the Constitution means to her.
Check out her speech!
She also did this amazing drawing.
:oD
The next day, Chris and I went to the Pre-K brunch with Emily.
She knows how to open her own milk carton!
Then we all went back to the classroom and the kids sang songs and danced for us.
Videos!
More video!
And then that little darling gave us this spoon with food glued on it...
It says, "I hug you once,
I kiss you twice,
'Cuz I love you mo'
Than red beans and rice!"
Awwwwww. I think I cried a little, how d-u-m-b! :'o)
But it was just so sweet!
Craft Day on on base.
We got to paint butterfly houses.
And she figured out that I have another name...
;o)
Gathered around the TV one Sunday for a football game - yay football season!
Now if only my 'Boys would cooperate. :oP
Chris was off work one day, and ALL of our kids were in school! :oO
So we headed downtown to play tourist.
Nothing too crazy, just a little reminder that our home right now is a pretty cool place to live.
And that Joshua will always have a job if needs one...
;oD
:o)
On the 26th, Emily performed in a little skit for our Church Fair.
She was a superhero - Mighty Mouse!
:o)
Elsa was there.
And so was Joshua's "person".
But they're broken up right now (for the 3rd time). :o/ :oP
As you may have seen on Facebook, Emily finished her book about her family.
And then promptly announced that it would cost $1 to read it...
She even drew a barcode!
Ahahahaha! I love it!
(And yes, I paid her $2 so Chris could read it too.) ;o)
Our big boy is still rocking those braces, but they're due to come out in January or February!
The orthodontist's office got new chairs.
Ha! :o)
And that was September... Laters!
