It's so FLUFFY!

Hello!  So, it's been about a month since I last posted, and yay - I have lots of cute pics to share.  :o)  We're all doing really well, still up to our eyeballs in school work, but we've had some really good times too.

Princess Emily still loves to dress up.

:o)

Especially when she's watching her favorite movie - Pitch Perfect!

Lol!  Yeah, she dresses up, sings, and dances along with the movie, haha!

Matthew made Community Hero Trading Cards for school, and this was my favorite.
Coast Guard!

"He is trustworthy because he saves people in the water.
He is helpful because he spends his time helping.
He is cooperative because he is usually in a team.
He is brave because he has to be on a ship for sometimes months."
Yeah, I think he got everything right.  :o)

Matthew also made this Area Monster in math.
"And since I had some extra grid paper, I made a Baby Area Monster to go with it!"  :oD

Haha - I love that little nerd!

Evelyn and Emily love doing puzzles together.
:o)

On Friday, September 27th, the kids were all banded for great behavior.
So it was FREE Dress Down Day!

We recently downloaded a bunch of games onto our tablet for Emily.  So when the kids are playing their games, she gets to go to her page on the tablet and play her games too!
And wow, these games are awesome!  She's doing puzzles, sorting, and matching, and is getting really good at her colors, letters, and numbers.  Very cool.  :o)

The weekends - some midgets choose to play games, and some midgets choose to do extra homework so the week ahead isn't so hectic.  ;o)

Joshua was very excited to get his Halloween costume prop in the mail.
It's Sting!
Yep, he is going to be Frodo for Halloween!  :o)
I told him he was too tall to be a Hobbit (average Hobbit height is about 3 1/2 feet tall) but he said he didn't care, "I'll be an awesome Frodo!"  Hehe.  ;o)

Haha!

:o)

"Mommy look.  The puppies were cold, so I covered them with the cover."  Awww.  :o)

Hey Emily, come take a picture with my new wreath!
Haha, thanks!  :oP

Evelyn got an Outstanding Student award in Social Studies for her Constitution Day "Freedom" Poster Contest.
She tied with someone else for the best poster in her class!  Woohoo!

And a pic with Emmy too.
Hehe.  Lately, any time I'm taking a picture of the kids, Emily quickly stands up and smiles with them so she can be in the picture too!  Little photo-bomber.

While I was helping Joshua with his homework one evening, Emily found my bubble wrap and entertained herself by sitting there...
and popping all of it...
I had to really try to be okay with this, because after all, that was my bubble wrap to pop.  :oP  Lol!  *sigh* As long as it kept her busy!  ;o)

Posing with her party girls and the self-portrait she did.  :o)

Matthew loves his Science Mania Club.  The week before, they wrapped red beans in wet paper towels and put them in ziploc bags to bring home and keep in the sunlight all week.  So Matthew taped his bag to the window and voila!
One of them sprouted!
He was soooo happy and couldn't wait to show his club members.  :oD
Evelyn has been having a lot of fun in her Scrapbook Club and working on some really pretty pages too, but she's not ready for me to take pictures of them yet because they're not done.  Joshua's Minecraft Club got off to slow start (server problems and all) but he excitedly came home this week to say that he got to play his favorite world-building game the whole time!  (J also has Minecraft for the Xbox, and Matthew and Evie both have it on their tablets - it's a very popular thing right now.)

The kids straightened up their rooms so I could vacuum, and I found this scene on their window-sill that made me laugh out loud:
It's Gollum and Bilbo fighting over the Ring in front of the Tardis!  Ahaha!  That's awesome.  :o)

Oh - and then Emily's Halloween costume accessory came in the mail...
And she lost her mind!
It's so FLUFFY!!

Yes, that is a giant fluffy unicorn because Emily has decided to be Agnes from Despicable Me, or as Emily puts it, "Agg-es, the girl who likes unicorns," who is also the girl with pony-tails.
See the resemblance?  :oD

"Look!  Look at it's tongue!"  :o)

She's in love with that fluffy unicorn and now carries it around with her all over the place (when I let her, of course, it is pretty big.)  ;o)

Here's a pic of the "It's so FLUFFY!" scene.
Lol!
And quick side note - see that other girl in the picture?  That's Agnes' sister Margo - the cooler, older sister. And guess who's going to be Margo for Halloween?!

That's right!  The big sister!
:oD

A little rain didn't stop us from getting the kids from school.  :o)

Which reminds me - a couple of weeks ago, we had that whole Tropical Storm Karen thing threatening us, eek!  A little scary, right?  We really went back and forth about whether to run to Houston or hunker down.  Thank goodness it died out and we didn't have to deal with all that, but man... I'm happy to say that we now have plenty of batteries, waters, can goods, and anything else you can think of all ready to go for next time.  :o)

The kids helped decorate the house for Halloween.

And Matthew's costume finally arrived!
But awww, you don't get to see it!  :o/
"Why can't I show anybody Matthew?"
"Because, it's for Halloween, so I want it to be a surprise."
Haha, okay... but I will say that I don't know who was more excited about his costume, Matthew or Agnes Emily.  ;o)

Quick pic before church, where Matthew is now a Pro at Altar Serving.
:o)

We also re-planted his red bean sprout and it's been growing like crazy!
:o)

Okay Emily, one quick pic with the fire truck, but then we gotta get out of here because they're about to have a fire drill!  Hurry!  ;o)

We took the boys for their annual eye exams, and yay!  Their eyes are healthy.  And while Joshua still has that perfect 20/20 Daddy-vision, Matthew's eyes got worse since last year, as we expected.
Guess we'll be trying on some new glasses soon!  :o)

Evelyn's class is decorating their door for Red Ribbon Week, so she had to take a picture of herself and make it into a superhero.

Oh, there's that photo-bomber again!  ;o)

Hehe, doesn't she make an adorable superhero?

"Hey Joshua, since I have the camera out, say cheese!"
Ahahahaha!
That's just wrong.  And hilarious.  And hilariously wrong.
I love it.  :oD

And a quick pic of Matthew slaving away on his homework too.  ;o)

Early morning picture before school.  Joshua has been taking a few extra saxophone lessons before school, so after we drop him off some mornings, we just hang out instead of heading back to the house.
"Look Mom, there was a statue here, but they moved it.  But we can be the statues."

I love that little ham.  :oD

And then, last Friday, October 18th, we got to go the Halloween Monster Mash dance on base!
And the kids got to dress up in their costumes!!!
Look!! It's Frodo!!!

Please say hello to Margo and Agnes!
And the fluffy unicorn too!

Oh my goodness!  It was the best thing ever!
Ahhh!  Check them out!  Halloween preview!  :oD
Oh, and yes, of course - Matthew did not want to dress up in his costume and, "ruin the surprise."  ;o)  Lol, that boy is so silly.  So he wore Joshua's Star Wars robe instead, and was very happy.  :o)

The dance was awesome.  I didn't get a lot of pics because it was dark and we were too busy dancing in the fog!
But yeah, a lot of the kids' friends were there, and they played great Halloween music.

And they had nachos with green cheese, hot dogs, cupcakes, candy, candy and more candy.
Emily figured out what the pocket on her overalls was good for.
And a good time was had by all.  :oD

Have I mentioned that the girl really likes bubble baths?
"Look at my beard Mommy.  Look!"  :o)

Monday was Superhero Day at school, to kick off Red Ribbon Week.  So the kids got to wear Superhero capes.
:o)
Sorry, Matthew didn't feel like wearing one.  :oP  But no worries!  He wore his Cowboys' jersey for Jersey Day, and I'm getting him into some Crazy Socks for Crazy Sock Day even if I have to hold him down!  Stay tuned...  ;o)

And yeah, that's about it.  Joshua has been practicing his saxophone day and night, and wow, I can't believe how good he sounds!  Hehe.  The Band is going to play at the Volleyball game after school this Thursday. It's their first real performance, and Joshua's really excited about it.  :oD

Like I mentioned before, the kids have just been so busy with their school work.  But man, these midgets are Education Warriors!  Seriously, the time and effort they have put into doing their best has been AMAZING. And we could not be any prouder of these fools...  Report cards come home next week, and we don't even care what they get because we are very well aware of how hard they have worked this quarter to do their best.  So seriously - it is ALL good.  :o)

We hope everyone's having a great October and we're looking forward to our visit for Uncle David's wedding!

Laters!
