Freedom!
Day 5 - is over. Haha, we drove 505 miles today and Emily is very happy to be free from the car. We're sooo close to Houston, just over 100 miles to go, but we just couldn't make it tonight. But we'll be there tomorrow! Yay!

Amarillo by Morning
Day 4 - We're in Oklahoma, about 100 miles from Amarillo. We should make it there by tonight, not morning. ;o) Chris said we probably won't make Houston tomorrow, but definitely by Friday, woohoo! Emily can't wait to see the kids. For real, every time she sees kids when we stop, she twists her neck real fast to watch them, looking at them funny because they look like our kids, but it's not them, hehe. Can't wait to get there! :o) (cell phone pic of Denver-ish sunset)

Tap the Rockies!
Day 3 - We have stopped for the night 50 miles outside of Denver. Dude, we drove over 500 miles today, woohoo! Emily's doing really good with the drive now. We still stop a lot, but we're making it work. And she got a new tiger friend. :o) We're about halfway there!

For me?
Day 2 - We just passed into Idaho. Chris already saw a truck full of potatoes when we stopped for some gas and grub, haha. Emily's doing better today. I think she realizes that she doesn't get a choice- we're gonna be stuck in the car for awhile. We're taking breaks for her though. She's much happier when I share my chocolate with her, hehe. Let's see how far we can get today! Laters!

Eastbound and Down
:o) Day 1 on the road. Not sure how far we'll get. Already had to stop for the girl after only 30 miles, haha. It'll be an interesting trip. We miss you my babies, but we're headed your way! :o)

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
:o)
The weekly blogging thing is now officially on hold until further notice. We are now in full packing mode, so things are mucho busy around here.
Here are some pics from the past week, but sorry for not doing the day-by-day thing (there's no time!) I'll have lots to update once we get settled, which should be sometime after the 4th? (I think?) Haha, I have no clue when things will be settled again. Wish us luck! :o)
The kids' last day of school is tomorrow, and Father gave us a blessing after church yesterday, so we should be all set. :o) Here we come!

Emily says, "Sorry I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy." ;o)
Yeah, she only goes backwards, so she keeps getting stuck under the couch, haha.
Quick side note: I "lost" her the other day. I left her on the floor in the living room and went to the kitchen. She started whining about a minute later, so I waited a minute then went to check on her. But she wasn't on the floor where I left her. In fact, I couldn't see her anywhere in the living room, but I could hear her whining! I looked behind the swing and under the coffee table, before I finally found her behind the couch! I guess she pushed herself backwards in a big circle and ended up stuck behind and under the back of the couch. Oh my goodness, that was the longest 8 seconds of my life!! Hahaha, she was fine, but yeah, whew, not fun for me. :oP
She tried helping us pack too.
Matthew asked if he could pack the movies, so I gave him a box and dude, Matthew is awesome at packing!
Look how well he fit those in there. :o)
Emily really likes when Evelyn has a towel on her head, I don't know why.
After going for a walk.
Yep, that's Matthew behind him, nerds, hehe.
Matthew's bean plant is growing like crazy.
Joshua got a Red Hawk Rave for finishing his Accelerated Math program at school.
And Evie got a Red Hawk certificate in PE.
Matthew got a certificate for finishing Kindergarten.
So proud of all my babies!
:o)
A few Father's Day photos:
Matthew got new shoes. He specifically requested "tie" shoes, which I've tried to get him before but he would only get velcro ones.
I only had to show him how to tie them a couple of times this morning, and he's got it down.
He is so excited and proud of himself!

Nacho Libre
Only 10 more days before we move! AHHHH! (<--- That's me screaming in terror.)
So yeah, lots going on around here. Are we all packed yet? Nope. I think Evie has packed more than I have, haha. Oh well, we'll get there. We've just been enjoying our time with Chris home and gearing up for the home stretch. :o)

So yep - time to get serious about this packing and moving business. I'll let you know how it goes. Wish us luck!

Monday:
Chris made it home early from work and went with us to pick up the kids from school. Later, he took them to karate. They only have 2 more karate classes left!
Too cute not to take a picture.
Before school :o)
Dude, Emily loves those little puffs that melt in her mouth.
We've been working on her feeding herself with them. But every time she picks them up, she "loses" them in her hands.
So, not very many make it into her mouth. :o)
But she has fun. :o)
After school, Chris read a book to Matthew and Joshua.
And Evelyn modeled Bubba's wedding present for the camera.
Incredi-baby! Hehe, these were Matthew's pj's, I can't believe that she can fit into them already. The kids think it's pretty awesome.
Wednesday:
Nacho Libre!
Haha, Chris picked up this mask when he was in Puerto Vallarta. Joshua thinks its great!
Matthew practiced playing Joshua's guitar for while.
Thursday:
My girl is getting better at moving herself around on the floor (no crawling yet). But when she gets to the hardwood, her pants just slide. So then, this happens:
Hehe, she got herself stuck on the coffee table. No worries, I rescued her pretty quick.
Sooo, Thursday was Chris' last day of work!
He came home with this awesome plaque:
He also received another Coast Guard Achievement Medal!! (his third)
The award description is so awesome, but Chris didn't want me to put all the language on here for security purposes. BUT - I will make sure to bring copies to Houston with us so that y'all can see. He acts like it's no big deal, but it really is. And we're sooo proud!! :o)
To celebrate, we went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory.
The kids had free meal passes from school because they read a certain number books, so we decided to try it out!
It was really good, but I think Matthew enjoyed it the most. :o)
Of course, Friday was Crazy Hair Day at school.
Hehehe, they all told me how they wanted their hair done. Matthew was supposed to have a double-mohawk, but when he saw Joshua's hair, he changed his mind. When he got home, he asked if he could do his hair like that again for school "for real". Yeah Matt-dog, I don't think so. :oP
Emily says, "Uh... Sissy... what is that on your head??"
Chris found a baby rabbit in our backyard/jungle!
Later we all got to see the Mom and Dad rabbits too. I think they live under some brush back there. So cool.
By the way, that evening I left them all with Chris! My friend Cathy dragged me out to dinner (Thanks Cathy!) I knew he could handle it, but I was sooo worried about the girl (she's a little bit attached, you know). ;o)
Well, dude, she did great! Chris had her bathed and asleep in her crib when I got back. He said she hardly whined and took the bottle just fine. Woohoo! Go Daddy!
Just a lazy, get-stuff-done-around-the-house day.
Check me out.
Sleepy baby.
Uh, I don't think it goes there Emily, but whatever works girl.
She didn't want to sleep at her bed time, so she stayed up late playing. When she started getting fussy, we laid on the bed and she fell asleep watching Finding Nemo with me. So sweet!
Sunday:
Before church
Later, Chris took the kids outside to play. They taught him how to play Four-Square, a game they play at school all the time.
They had a lot of fun. :o)
Bonus Monday Pics:
Chris went with us to take the kids to school this morning. It was raining when we got there, so Emily and I hung out in the car while he took them to their classes.
She really likes playing with the baby in the mirror.
And of course, kissing the baby. :o)
Laters! :o)
