Take it Easy

Hello!  Well, okay, heads up -- I have recently discovered that, sadly, the blog has become much more time-consuming than I realized.  :o/  So, we have decided to kinda scale back on how often we post and how many pics we post, etc.  I know, it sucks, and I don't want to post less stuff, but it sometimes takes me all week to get a post up, and I'm all 'Woohoo!' when I do... and then a new week starts like a day later... And it's already time to start another one!  And I'm just going crazy trying to keep up.  :oP Bleh, my bad.  The blog really is so much fun for me to put together, but we gotta find a balance.  :o)  So yeah, forgive me.

Fortunately, there will still be a blog!  And I will still be regularly downloading and sharing our best pics and moments.  I just don't know how often.  But hang with me, it's all good.  :o)

Monday, June 3:
Emily made us french bread pizza for dinner.

Seriously, she loved helping.  "I help.  I cook too."

She did pretty good, except for when she tried to put the cheese on one tiny piece at a time, haha.
:o)

She enjoyed eating it more.

Hehehe.

That afternoon, Evelyn had a double header.

Emily made a new friend.

Ooooh - yeah, I caught her getting hit by the ball!
Ouch!

But she was fine and happy to be on base.  :o)

And even happier to score!

They put her in as catcher for the second game.
And she's getting really good.  She's able to follow the pitch now and was stopping a lot more of the wilder pitches.  :o)

Happy, sweaty boys kept busy with their games.

She got a hit in this game.  :o)
They won the first game and lost the second, but we had a great time!

Tuesday, June 4:
Early that morning, we took Emily to the doctor for her 2 1/2 year check-up.  She didn't need any shots (yay!) and the doctor said that she's doing fine.  Here are her stats:
Height: 36"  50-75th percentile
Weight: 33 lbs.  75th percentile
Her head measured in the 95th percentile!  But the doctor said that it has always measured that big, so she wasn't concerned.  So yeah... Emily literally just has a big head.  Haha!  ;o)

I taught Matthew how to play solitaire.  :o)

And Emily did Daddy's make-up.
Lol!  Yeah, after he let her "cut" his hair, she asked him, "I do make-up too?"

He was such a good sport about it.
:o)

Wednesday, June 5:
Joshua proudly showed me that he put a new desktop on their laptop.
Eek!  Yes, that would a Weeping Angel - one of the many villainous creatures from Doctor Who.  :o)

Emily enjoyed watching Matthew play a game where he kept blowing stuff up.
They were both just giggling away.

"It go BOOM!" she told me.

Joshua has now enlisted several of his friends to be in the Doctor Who T.V. show that he's been working on.
Yep - that's his 'Doctor' outfit!  And goodness, I still have their Promo Pics but man... those pics are almost too embarrassing to share.... almost.  Maybe soon.  ;o)

Ready for another game!

It was so hot out there.

But Evie was having fun!

Check out that tough girl.
She means business.

Woohoo!  Go Evelyn!

And they won!  Yay!

Emily likes playing with the kids' Toy Story stuff now that she has seen the movies, or rather, has now actually paid attention to them.  Earlier that day, I caught her playing with the Woody doll, and she was holding him over the kitchen trash can saying, "Nooooo... don't do it!  Don't do it!"  Bahahaha!  I don't know where she got that, but goodness, I was laughing so hard.  Crazy child.
:o)

Oh - and she likes to sing.  A lot.
She wouldn't pose for me, but she found this singing microphone last week and hasn't put it down since.  :o)

Thursday, June 6:
Joshua's big day finally arrived.
Time to get that cast off!

They used this vibrating saw thingy that was kinda scary to watch.

He was checkin' to see if I was takin' his picture, hehe.

Look how happy he is!!
Like I said in the last post, the orthopedist said that his bone looks good, but it still has some healing to do, so he still has to be cautious and careful, and we'll get it checked out again next month.  He's worked out most of the stiffness and is using it regularly now, but he does get sore every now and then.  But seriously, he is soooo happy to be free of that cast! :o)

After his appointment, we ran to the store for a few things.
When we were in the parking lot, Emily noticed a crack in the pavement.  She said, "Oh - it's broke!"  I said, "Yeah, it's just a crack, it's okay."  She goes, "Oh, it's okay, Dad fix it."  Lol!  :o)

And when we got home, Evelyn took a nap.
Lol, yeah, she just passed out on the floor!

So we had a little fun...

Ahahaha!  I'm sorry, but she was just out, and that was too much fun.
No worries, we showed her all the pictures when she woke up and then she was laughing right along with us.   :oD

Friday, June 7:
The girls had fun curling each other's hair.

:o)

Saturday, June 8:
Evelyn painted her nails, so Emily wanted hers done too.
So Evie put a clear coat on her and she was sooo happy!  :o)
Later, Evelyn went to a birthday party at the bowling alley, and then she went to a sleepover at the birthday girl's house (who lives right across the street! yay!)  She had so much fun and now can't wait for her birthday to get here so she can have a sleepover of her own... we'll see!  ;o)

Sunday, June 9:
We went to Barnes and Noble so the kids could use the gift cards that they got from the school.
We spent a couple of hours there and read a couple of short books together.  Matthew really enjoyed reading this Weather and Science book about tornadoes, but he decided not to buy it.  ;o)

Joshua got himself a new Tardis for his TV show.  :oP
Yes!  They had Doctor Who toys and games and books there!!
(I know where I'm getting their birthday presents now...) ;o)

Matthew got this RoboXplorer robot thing.
And then he put it together by himself!
(Daddy only had to help him fix one piece that Matthew put on backwards.)  ;o)

And Evelyn got a couple more books to add to her "Real Books" library... "Because I have a Real Books library and a Kindle Books library now."  :o)

Matthew's robot looked like a bug crawling all over the house!

Monday, June 10:
Matthew took his bug for a walk outside.  :o)

And Evelyn got to go to gymnastics for the first time in a couple of weeks.
She did really good, and even surprised herself with how well she could do all the exercises.  :o)

Tuesday, June 11:
Daddy had the day off, so we went to the movies to see Iron Man 3!
And everybody enjoyed it!  Even Emily, who was awake the whole time!

Despicable Me 2 is coming out soon...
My minions can't wait!  :oD

And here's a picture of Joshua with Tonto.
:o)

Wednesday, June 12:
Emily fixed Dora's hair.

And the kids started up a candy-selling gig.
For real!  There were some kids out there selling cookies the other day, so the kids asked if they could sell some of the candy that they never eat, and I said Sure!
And they made $4.50!
Haha, they kept coming back in, asking me for more candy, and I couldn't give it to them fast enough.  Hehe, no worries, we still have tons of stuff for them to snack on, but yep - all those extra bubble yums, dum-dums, and fun dips are gone!  Woohoo!  Oh - and the kids are happy that they made money.  ;o)

Helicopter flying time!

:o)

And then we went to Evie's final softball game.
She makes such a cute player!

They played hard, but yeah, they lost.

But Evie don't care.
:o)

"Come on Emmy, get your purse and let's go home!"
Hehe, yeah, we totally stopped and got ice cream on the way home to celebrate all the hard work that girl's put in this softball season.
Go Evelyn!  :oD

Darth Vader showed up to tell me good night.  :o)

Thursday, June 13:
It was really, really hot outside.
So we had a pool day!

And the midgets had an absolutely wonderful time.

Yes, those fools were doing cannonballs in that tiny pool.

So of course, monkey see, monkey do.
"Can-ball!"  Lol!  :o)

Friday, June 14:
Evelyn lost her tooth!
We had a movie night and watched Rise of the Guardians.  So we were eating popcorn and she bit down on a kernel and said, "Oh - I think I just knocked my tooth loose!"  Yeah, 20 minutes, she pulled it out!  :oP

"Look - my tooth fall out too!"
Bahaha!  ;o)

Saturday, June 15:
Nap time!

Say cheese Emmy!
:oP

"I can make her say cheese, like this Emily!  Cheese!"
Hehe.  :o)

After Daddy left for work, we wrapped his Father's Day presents.

But all we had was Happy Birthday paper, so we drew him a nice picture.
:o)

Sunday, June 16:
Happy Father's Day!
New stuff!  Yay!

:oD

I guess it was nap time again.  ;o)

Then we got out the pool for some fun in the sun.

Those midgets love the water.

Hehehe.  :o)

Daddy grilled us some burgers on his new grill too!
And a good time was had by all.  :o)

Hope everyone's having a great week.  We look forward to seeing everybody soon!  :o)

Laters!
