Finally
Sorry for the late weekly post. I had the whole thing ready to go last night but every time I tried to post, the pictures would disappear! The website was having trouble, but they got it fixed today.
So....
We had a pretty good week. :oD
Tuesday
So yeah, we gave Emily a rice krispy treat.
Haha, I just let her gnaw on it for a few minutes and she loved it! She was pretty mad when I took it away. But now she's been eyeing my breakfast bars...
The kids decided to drain their banks.
We haven't taken them to the store just yet, but Joshua said something about Yu-gi-oh cards. Eh, we'll see about that. :o\
Wednesday

And would you believe it -- the sun came out!!
Unfortunately, Emily and I got left behind. The sun might've been out, but it was still close to 50 out there! Too cold for the girl.
Thursday
So Matthew keeps asking questions about how the toilet and sinks work. (I don't know why.) Luckily for him, we saved these "How it Works..." books from when I was little.
How it Works in the Country, and ...in the City are also available. He's been reading about airports and gas stations too. Strangely curious child. But he loves them! :o)
Friday
When I got the kids from school Evelyn said the following:
We made a quick trip to the grocery store after Chris got home from work. Unfortunately, I think this was Matthew's last ride in the car-carts.
Saturday
Evelyn and I finished her banner for her First Communion. She picked out all the stuff, made a rough draft of where she wanted everything, AND cut out all the shapes (even the tiny ones!)
I had to do the hot-glue part, but she made sure to tell me exactly where to put everything. ;o)
Oh yeah - and while we were working on it, she told me, "Mommy, you know how in other languages, like French or something, 'Le' means 'the'? Well, since you're Le-tisha, your name means, 'The Tisha'! Get it?" Yeah Evie, I got it. :o)
We also re-visited green beans.
Yeah, um, those might just stay on the 'no' list. Sorry, I had to take a quick picture. She was just sooooo mad, it was funny!
Sunday
Just some pics :o)

It was such a pretty day. Chris took the kids to the park to play.
Look! Wearing sunglasses and jackets (instead of coats) for the first time this year!

Friday
When I got the kids from school Evelyn said the following:
Mommy, you know that place next to Long John Silver's? The place where they have big macaroni and mashed potatoes and chicken? It has red and white stripes for decorations and there's this picture of a man on the side of the boxes? Do you know that place? I really want to go there.Haha, I told her maybe next week. I don't think we've had KFC in almost a year, but dang she's got a good memory!

See his knees?!

Baby Girl's Check-Up
Emily Beth had her 4 month check-up today! The doctor said that she's doing great with no lasting effects from the bronchiolitis last month. She weighs 15 lbs 4.4 oz and is 25" long (tall?). She's in the 85th percentile for weight and 79th percentile for length. :o)
I checked the kids' records and found that at 4 months:
Joshua was 15 lbs 14 oz and 25 1/2" long, and
Matthew was 16 lbs 3 oz and 24 1/2" long.
Evie's stats skipped from 2 months to 6 months (not sure where her 4 month measurements are). But at 2 months she was 11 1/2 lbs and at 6 months she was 21 lbs.
So, Emily seems to be trucking right along with the other kids. Woohoo! :o)

Crazy Kids
Well, we didn't have much going on this week besides what I already posted but, as always, I do have a few pics to share.
Here are a few more shots of the babies in their St. Patrick's Day gear:
Evelyn is preparing to make her First Communion on May 1st. We got her veil this week.
I noticed the other day that Matthew started putting "Matthew C. Nutt" on his schoolwork. I asked him why he started adding the "C" and he replied, "Because my middle name is Christopher, like Daddy. But I only put a 'C' because it's a secret. Nobody knows that my middle name is really Christopher."
The next day I had Chris ask him about it and he told Chris that he put a C because he couldn't spell Christopher. Haha, who knows which reason it really is, but we're working on spelling Christopher now. :o)
We had some delicious cookie "pizzas" on Friday for my birthday.
Oh yeah - this afternoon I noticed something weird on the ceiling. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was a freakin gummy bear!
Yeah, we can thank our youngest son for that one. He quickly confessed to biting the gummy bear's head off and throwing it up in the air 2 days ago. It was really hard to get on to him with a straight face, so he got off pretty easy. Chris had to leave the room he was laughing so hard. :oP
The other kids changed before I could get their pictures this morning. Laters! :o)

Emily gets all excited while listening to the speaker phone.
We've been working on tummy time with her. She usually doesn't like it and will only do it when she wants.
But she was all smiles this time thanks to Evie.
Later she spent some time talking to herself in the mirror.
It was so cute!
Matthew takes a turn holding her

I had a great third 29th birthday with Chris and my babies! ;o)

MaƱana
Matthew gets in the car after school yesterday and says to me:
Mommy, do you know what maƱana means?
Me: MaƱana? Like, 'tomorrow'?
Matthew: Yes! That's right. It means 'tomorrow'. You don't know a lot of Mexico, do you?
Me: What??
Matthew: But I know a little of a lot of Spanish and Mexico. (and then he smiled real big at me)
Nerd. :ob

Sunday SUNDAY Sunday
Sundays seem to be the best for downloading my camera and sharing new pics. So once again, here is our week in review. :o)
I learned a lot this week.
On Tuesday, I learned that Emily really likes sweet potato baby food.
And then on Wednesday, I learned that she REALLY doesn't like green beans.
Thursday:
I realized just how much my girls look like each other as I was browsing through some old pictures.
I learned that while Emily is getting big, she's not quite big enough for her new walker.
Saturday:
I learned that my children are as set in their ways as I am. The kids like the weekends because that's when they get to eat the sugary cereal or poptarts. (We have our big "Brunch for Lunch" meal after church on Sundays, but they still have cereal for breakfast.)
Well, I decided to cook breakfast for them on Saturday and they all acted like I broke their hearts! I decided to make Egg in a Nest (although I've never actually tried to make it before.) They were all upset and didn't want it.... until they tried it.
Haha, so they all LOVED it and actually asked for more! (Thanks Mom.) Yay! :o)
I learned that the big kids are much more excited than Emily when she gets something new.
I've caught Matthew "making sure the batteries still work" several times since then.
Sunday:
I realized that J and Emily really like watching cartoons together in the morning.
And that my big kids all really enjoy, and are really good at, keeping Emily entertained.
Just a couple more pics from before church (cuz that's when they're dressed their best!)
So another great week. Hehe, right now Evie's helping Chris in the garage while my boys are inside playing the Wii. Emily's taking a nap, so I better run and get something else done! Laters! :o)

Here is the pic I posted last week of Chris with Emily:
And here is a pic of Chris with Evelyn at the same age:
Creepy, right? ;o) haha
They ALL look alike!
I guess that makes me the adopted one now!
Stop laughing at me girl!

Odd children. ;o)

She got a new kick-music toy thing
(nearly identical to one the big kids had as babies.)
Here they are playing with showing Emily how to play with her new toy. :o)
