April Showers

Well, here we are!  I actually sat down and downloaded my phone! *gasp* Shocking, I know.  :oP
We haven't had much going on the past couple of weeks, but here are a few photos.  :o)

We  were still in Houston for the first couple days of the month.
Movie night at Booger & Ohad's house.

:o)

Aww, cousin-love.
Silly goofs.

The cats were happy to have us back home.

And the very next day, Joshua had a tennis game!

#StopLookingAtMeMom  :oP
He looked really cool out there.

Emily enjoyed watching her brother play too.  :o)

She decided that she wanted a Countdown Calendar for when Daddy comes back and we make our move to Charleston, so we made one.
She said that she was going to draw a picture for every day he was gone so he could know what she did each day.

Well, on Wednesday, she drew herself making the countdown, and on Thursday... well, can you see what she drew herself doing??
She's throwing up!  Ew!
That girl was home sick from school that day, and yes, she had a stomach bug.  I asked her why she drew that and she says, "So Daddy can see that I was throwing up and drinking sprite because I was sick."  Haha, hope Chris likes it!  ;o)

Later that day, she was feeling much better.

This used to be Evelyn's dress that I made for her.  :o)

Uh, yeah, that's not scary at all.  :oP

On Saturday, April 9th, we painted flower pots at a craft event.

Ivy didn't know what to think about all those boxes.
:o)

And here we have the Jolly Green Giant.
:oP  Ha!

Emily loves the new tea towel we got for the kitchen.
Matthew and Joshua actually picked it out!  :oD

And Emily drew a cute little picture of herself, me, and Evelyn.

#Me And My Emo Sister
Haha! - I especially love the way Evelyn's hair covers half her face.  ;o)

So... the packing is going well...
:oP

On Tuesday the 12th, this metal-mouthed fool went from this...

to this!
Yay!  No more braces!  He's sooooo happy!

Side by side pic from his first day to his last.
Aww, I see more changes in his face than I do to his teeth.  :o)
Now he has retainers that he has to wear all the time, bleh.  But in a few months, he'll only have to wear them at night.  But yay - we he survived 1 year and 10 months in braces!

To celebrate, we got him a basket full of awesome.
Which was really just a basket of all the stuff he couldn't eat while he had braces.  He was very happy about that!  :oD

Kitty-cat love

On Friday, April 15th, Evelyn had a Strings Recital where she played the bass guitar.
Unfortunately, I had a horrible seat, and could barely see her the whole time.  BUT if you listen really close to the following video, you can hear the bass line pretty well.  :o)
(She's right in the middle of this picture, all the way in the back.)

(Sorry so shaky. :oP)

She played along to 5 songs with the strings, and she will also be performing in the Talent Show on the 22nd.  She loves playing the bass, but no worries - she still plays the flute for her other band stuff. :oD
Go Evelyn!

On Saturday the 16th, Joshua attended a Poetry Workshop at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
He really enjoyed the workshop and will have 2 poems printed in a booklet they are going to make.  He's really a wonderful writer, and all his English teachers just adore him.  I'll let you know when I get my hands on a copy of that booklet!  :oD

Alright, and that's all I got for now.  No promises, but I hope to update again at the end of the month, we'll see!  Chris is doing very well on his new ship and I think we might have a house lined up soon.  :o)  Hope y'all are drying out over in Texas.  Stay safe!  Laters.  :o)
