Look! It's my kids! Hehe, thanks Aunt Mary!
We took a few pics before church (which might be why we got there with only 15 minutes to spare, oof!)
But my babies were all so stylin'!
My purdy girls
My handsome boys
Emily poses with her first Easter basket!
We found this cute (but inexpensive!) set of Easter baby toys for her basket including a bunny rattle, bunny blankie, teether, baby book and toy rings.
The kids' baskets had lots of goodies - candy, bubbles, toys and more candy! A few things that we let them pick out for themselves: Joshua got a big cookies and cream bunny and Toy Story whistle bubble blower; Evie got a big chocolate bunny and ball-pop-cup-toy-things; and Matthew got a big chocolate cross and a carrot-shaped baseball bat.
Another basket pic. Emily discovered the toys in her basket and couldn't be bothered to take another picture, haha. ;o)
Due to the rain, the kids had an indoor egg hunt this year...
But they still had fun!
Since we had such a busy weekend, we didn't get our eggs boiled until late Saturday night, sooo...
We dyed eggs on Sunday! The kids thought that was pretty cool. Our earlier egg hunt was done with plastic eggs so we colored these to take to Cathy's house later. :o)
We called them cucuy eggs - they had scary eyeballs and mouth stickers. :o)
And yes, some even had hair, hehe.
Emily changed into this super-cute dress for a while.
After grabbing our dyed eggs we headed over to Aunt Cathy's house to celebrate Easter with them!
The girls! Awww.
Then - wardrobe change!
Had to change into her "My First Easter" outfit. (We almost forgot about this outfit, but remembered to grab it just before we left the house. Shhh, don't tell Booger!) ;o)
We tried to take pictures with her basket again, but she just wanted to eat the eggs!
And when I took the egg, she tried to eat the basket.
The kids got to do a second Easter egg hunt! (So we now have too much candy to even think about. I'm trying really hard not to think about all the candy in their baskets... right now... just across the room) ;o)
Look at all those eggs! Oh - and the kids too. ;o)
Since Emily was eating during the first egg hunt, this was her chance!
Go for it Emily!
But then she got distracted by the basket again.
Well, once she got the egg, guess what she did...
She LOVED eating on the plastic eggs!
As Chris picked her up, she grabbed the handle of the basket by herself! (Yeah, it's cuz she wanted to eat it.) Haha!
Emily takes aim
Mmm... chocolate
Score!
Yep, as soon as I gave it to her, she started sucking and gnawing on it quicker than I thought she would. I was scared she was going to get a piece soon, so I took this picture quickly and then had to pry that candy away from her. She was not happy about that, hehe.
The kids had a good time playing games like Disney Trivial Pursuit.
I was surprised by how many answers they (and I) knew! We might have to get that game.
Eating another plastic egg!
So yep, we got home late that evening and the kids were all passed out within 10 minutes of laying down. :o)
Hope everybody had a great Easter too!
