That Big White House

Matthew was watching the news with me tonight.  They were talking about the government shutdown and showing a live picture of the White House when we had the following conversation.

Matthew:  Mommy, we don't need to worry about that, right?
Me:          About what?
Matthew:  About that, the government shutdown.  'Cuz we don't go to that place.  (He's reading the headline "Government Shutdown" on the bottom of the TV.)
Me:          What?  What do you mean?
Matthew:  Ugh (frustrated that I'm not understanding him) - We don't need to worry about the government shutdown because we don't go to where that big white house is, so it's okay if it shuts down!
Me:          Matthew, do you know who lives in that big white house?
Matthew: Yes.  The government!

Hehe.  Maybe I shouldn't let him watch the news with me anymore... or maybe I should.  ;o)
