Monday:
Just a chillin' kind of day
Emily spent some time hanging out with Daddy
Tuesday:
Tuesday started out pretty good.
Matthew decided to wear his Fauxhawk to school
He thinks he's stylin'. :o)
I took the kids to school and everything was groovy.
AND THEN - the school nurse called to say that Matthew got hurt!
Dude, a unicycle fell on his head. That's right, a UNICYCLE! When I asked him how it happened, he said that he thought it was "magic." Haha. Actually, they were in the gym and there were a bunch of unicycles lined up along the wall. The kids were stacking up their shoes by that wall and one of the unicycles fell over on Matthew when he bent down to put his shoes down.
When I got to the school, the nurse said that she couldn't believe how well he was handling it. She said that if it was her daughter, she would be freakin' out, but Matthew was really calm and coloring pictures while he waited for me. He got a 3/8" long gash, not too deep, just a lot of bleeding. He's all healed up now. But like Chris said, how often does somebody have a unicycle fall on their head? *sigh* Only our child. :o1
Hehe, Joshua shows off his new 3-D book from the school book order
Thursday:
Yeah, um, she wanted the box, so I gave it to her
Hehe, raisin' her right! :o)
Friday:
Friday was Hawaiian Day!
Yep, so even though we barely broke 50 on Friday, the kids' school had a Hawaiian Spirit Day.
Yeah, even Emily dressed up. Fun day. :o)
Saturday:
We made a trip to the store on Saturday. As I was getting Emily dressed, I sadly noted that if we lived in Texas, Emily could wear this super-cute shirt like this:
BUT, since we won't be back down south until this summer
(at which time the girl will most likely not fit into these clothes), we wore the shirt like this:
"Bring on the hot weather already
so I can show off my chunky legs!"
While at the store, we picked up some Coke in bottles for the kids. They were soooo excited. First of all, they only ever get soda if we're in a restaurant. Secondly, they were getting real glass bottles! (Kids' reaction, not mine.)
They just couldn't believe they had coke like that!
Haha, they all really enjoyed their special treat. Silly kids.
Oh, except Emily, who looked on jealously. ;o)
Joshua says, "Hey - check out my green thumb!"
I love my nerds.
Sunday:
Evelyn poses with her and Emily's new Easter/1st Communion shoes
At church, the kids read along in their missalettes as they did the Passion. On our way home, Joshua asked me, "Mommy, are we gonna watch something Jesus-y when we get home?"
Haha, that's funny Joshua, how did you know?! Maybe I was thinking out loud or something, because yes, we spent part of Sunday watching Jesus Christ Superstar. It was pretty rockin'. ;o)
And then... the sun came out!!
The kids busted out their jackets and sunglasses for a trip to the park. I really hope this sun-thing happens more often. They were really excited to try out their new ball.
Oh, except Emily. Haha, my poor girl, it's still just too cold for her out there! (Besides, she can't kick a ball yet.)
The kids made sure to spend time making her happy before they headed out to the park with Chris. :o)
Oh - and do you see that stretchy headband thing on Emily's head? She found it during church, as in, she realized that she was wearing it. She grabbed it and pulled it down to look at it (or eat it) and before I could get it out of her hand, she let go and it popped back in her face! Lol, it didn't hurt her at all, just scared her a bit, but it was pretty cute/funny. We may not be wearing those much longer.

Oh a unicycle! That story will make me laugh for years to come. "Hey remember that time Matthew got hurt by a unicycle." goodness I still can't believe that.
