(P.S. - I had soooo many Easter pictures that I'm going to post those in a separate "Easter" post just after this one.)
Monday:
"I love Mondays!"
Emily received a box of new clothes
Thanks Aunt Nene and Uncle Rick!
Okay, so we can't get her to take a bottle. Milk, formula, water, juice - she just gets mad and cries (a LOT). So I decided to try a different approach.
I tried to present the bottle as a "toy" instead of as food. I let her play with it when I wasn't trying to feed her. I put the bottle in her hands a lot and squirted the apple juice in her mouth . She got to where she would lift it to her mouth just to chew on it. And then she liked that juice would come out when she chewed on it. Pretty soon, she was trying to suck on the bottle to get the juice out! Yay! My trick worked! We'll have to try this again some time. ;o)
After school, big brother Joshua brought Emily a flower.
Say it with me - Awwwwww! ;o)
Yeah, I took this pic right before she tried to eat it.
Later, he let her try on his hat, haha.
Emily decided to hang out on the sink while I fixed my hair.
Chillin'
Photo shoot!
Hehe, sometimes Emily and I hang out in the car while we wait for the kids to get out of school.
Thursday:
Emily talked to this piggy bank for quite a while
That afternoon we went to the mall to take a picture with the Easter bunny (which I posted last week.) The kids got a coupon for a free cotton candy. So....

They were so excited to get their free cotton candy! And before you ask - yes, I gave Emily a taste. Joshua ate the most while Evelyn barely touched hers. But it was fun!
Friday:
Evelyn had a field trip to the zoo, so she made sure to sport her best zebra-wear.
She had a lot of fun and said that the elephants and the bus ride were her favorite parts. ;o)
And THEN - Nana, Paw Paw, Uncle Rodger and Aunt Angelica came to visit us for Easter!
Paw Paw had a really cool app on his phone that repeated everything the kids said in a funny voice (kinda like those talking/recording parrots that you could buy a long time ago.) They begged to play with it all weekend, hehe.
Saturday:
We spent Saturday hanging out with everybody.

Paw Paw got Emily an Easter chick that was bigger than she was, hehe
Yep, I really had to hunt for those swimsuits (since they haven't worn them since last summer, haha) but thanks to Nana and Paw Paw's hotel's indoor swimming pool, the kids had a lot of summertime fun.
"Don't let go Daddy! I don't want to learn how to swim!" Hehehe
Later, we hit the mall for a movie and some grub. And dude - we got above 60 degrees! Woohoo! Matthew asked, "Why does it feel like Texas out here?"
Haha, Nana answered, "We brought it with us." ;o)
Matthew tries to keep cool outside the mall
Emily really enjoyed hanging out with Aunt Angelica
The kids had a lot of fun visiting with everybody. They acted like goofballs the whole time, but I guess that's what they do best. ;o)
And we have more family coming to visit in just 3 more days! Woohoo!
I'll get the Easter pics posted soon - I promise!
Laters! :o)
