Spring Break Baby! - Part 2

Okiday.  Here is the second part of our grand Spring Break adventure! Okay, so maybe it wasn't really an "adventure" but it was really grand, so yeah.  :o)

Monday:
Emily really likes Wae.
Hehe, she just followed that poor dog around everywhere.

"Aww, c'mon Mom, he likes the attention!"

Okay, I completely forgot to mention this about last week, but Matthew had to do an Oral Biography Report at school.  He wanted to do his on a famous baseball player, so he picked Nolan Ryan.  He learned a lot of neat stuff about him and gave a great report on the last day before Spring Break.  Well, when he told Epa about it, he decided to take Matthew to see the statue of Nolan Ryan in Alvin.
:o)  Yes, they all ended up going.  Pretty cool, huh?

:o)

They also visited the Nolan Ryan Exhibit Center.
Where they got to see a lot of videos about Nolan Ryan and Joshua took some really great photos.

:o)  Purdy neat.

Emily hung back with us and got to have her first bean burrito.
Hehe, she usually gets a pintos 'n' cheese, but she's getting bigger, so we decided to give it a try.  She loved it, of course.  :o)

And she found a new dog to follow at Nana and Paw Paw's.
Hehe, and she kept saying "Ick, ick" over and over.  :o)

"Dude - there's 2 of them!"

And of course, there was lots of swimming going on.
Has she ever been in the pool?  Maybe a little last summer, I really don't remember.

But she really liked it.  :o)

Chillin' in the hot tub.

Joshua, our fearless one.

Hi Evie!

Emily hung out with her new friends.
"I know you just love me for my fries, but that's okay."  :o)

Girls being girls.  :o)

Tuesday:
The kids played lots of Wii.
Emily 'played' too. *wink wink*

And then it was back to the pool!
Big swimmer!

Chris thought the water was kinda cold, but considering that we've lived in the Guadalupe every summer for many years now, that water felt just fine. :o)  (Love you babe!)

She was scared about crossing the "line" into the sun, hehe.

Ah, that's more like it.

My cute crew.  :o)

Playing Just Dance 2 on the Wii.
Yeah, as soon as Joshua realized I was taking pictures, he dropped out and stopped dancing, haha.

Booger brought the kids these chocolate eggs from Budapest.

They were really pretty, almost too pretty to eat, so we took pictures and then gobbled them up anyway.  And they were pretty good too.  Thanks Liz!

Wednesday:
Chris had to work on Thursday, so we were on the road again on Wednesday.  We left Houston around 8 in the morning and made it home between 3 and 4, so not too bad.  The kids were able to make it to their church class, and then Matthew had his first tee-ball practice.  :o)

Thursday:
Emily tried to work out.

My big girl tried to work out too, but mostly she just laughed at Emily's efforts.

"Dude, I will pump you up!"

Check out my little softball player.
Daddy took her to her first practice.

Quick pic before a really late bed time.

And uh, yeah, Emily tries to drink her bathwater now.

Hehe, she knows it's wrong, but thinks it's funny anyways.  Nerd.  :o)

Friday:
We spent the whole day outside.
:o)

As soon as Joshua realized I was taking a picture, he swerved to try and hide.
Nerd!  :op

Emily tried to fill up the watering can to help me with the plants.

And Evelyn and Matthew played catch.

She was so proud of herself because she climbed onto the bench and sat down at the table, all by herself.

:o)

All the little kids like to hang out by our porch because we got the bubbles and the chalk.  They were all following Evelyn around as she was blowing bubbles for them. :o)

And dude, Emily was not happy that somebody was sitting in her Big Bird chair, haha.

When Daddy got home from work, he played catch with them for a while too.

Joshua and Evelyn both had baseball practice.
So Chris went to Joshua's and I went to Evelyn's.  We're making it work!  :o)

Saturday:
Wow, I have no pictures for Saturday, my bad.  But we just did the same thing we did on Friday, and then went to church, so you really didn't miss anything.  :o)

Sunday:
Chris had duty, so we got some ironing and cleaning done.
The Green Lantern tried to help, but she's really a lot better at making the messes than cleaning them up.  And yes, she put that mask on herself.

Joshua and Matthew had themselves a DS convention on our front porch.
Haha, yeah, they were all linked up together having Mario Kart races.  Those boys are something else.

And dude - Emily has figured out how to latch buckles!  She is constantly latching the kids' helmets together and then bringing them to me to undo, just so she can latch them again.  Well, she figured out that she can latch the buckle on her car too.
Unfortunately, she can't un-latch them yet.  Haha, she kept getting herself stuck in the car all day long.  Sorry, just too funny.  :o)

Evelyn worked on an extra credit project for Social Studies.  They had to find 10 goods or services from Louisiana and make a poster with the info.  I told her, "Evelyn, you do know that you have a 99 in Social Studies and really don't need to do this project, right?  It's okay if you don't do it, okay?"  And she said, "I know Mommy, but I really want to, it's really a lot of fun."  Uh... okay, if you say so.  ;op

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure she's gonna end up with a better than perfect score in Social Studies this quarter.  :o)

And that's it.  The kids went back to school today, and while I was sad to see Spring Break end, I was kinda happy that it was just Emily that I had to keep tabs on today, you know?  Haha, no worries, I was really happy to see them come home too, especially since they didn't have much homework. ;o)

Joshua and Matthew both had baseball practice today, and tomorrow Joshua and Evelyn have it, and we think that all 3 kids have their first games this Saturday!!  Eeek!  I'll be sure to let you know how that turns out.  :o)  Hope you have a great week, I know we will!

Laters!
