Wocka Wocka Wocka

Hello there!  We had another awesome week.  It seemed to fly by pretty quick, but we still had a lot of fun.

Monday:
:o)

Joshua came home really pumped up and excited about his LEAP testing (which started on Thursday).
He also got a new shirt to wear for his testing days.  :o)

That night, Joshua and Evelyn had baseball tryouts!  Well, Evie had softball tryouts, but same thing.  Look at that girl!
She did really good for someone who's never played before, haha.  She hit 3 out of 5 pitches and even caught a fly ball!  They weren't really "tryouts" as much as just placement and skill tests.  So yeah, they're playing baseball!  Matthew is also signed up for tee-ball, but he didn't have to "tryout."

Emily enjoyed watching.
"Go Sissy!"

Emily and I were with Evie on one field and Chris had Matthew and Joshua at another field, so I didn't get to see much of Joshua's try-out.

But check him out -
Doesn't he just look so cute out there?  They had a lot of fun and are so excited about playing.  I don't know how we're going to juggle 3 kids on 3 different teams, but I'm sure we'll manage.  :o)

Tuesday:
Just a couple of pics after the kids got home from school and clubs.

Yes, he's reading the Guinness Book of World Records.  They love those books.

Hi Matt-Dog!

Wednesday:
Haha, check out the hair!
She let me put a tiny hair tie in there and it just stuck straight up, haha.  And I forgot to tell you earlier, but she has 4 new teeth!  I was playing with her about 2 weeks ago and noticed that 4 of her molars had just popped up out of nowhere!  They were all about halfway showing, I don't know how I missed that, but yeah, they're in there.  Big girl!

Later we went to the store for bacon, because Joshua specifically requested some for his "I have to eat a healthy breakfast on LEAP testing day" menu. :o)
"I can drive, right?"  No, Superstar, you may not.

Oh - and we got the kids' Progress Reports.  And so far this quarter, they all have straight A's!  Woohoo!  But Evie was a little bothered that she has a 95 in Language Arts and said that she was going to see if there was any extra credit she could do to bring it back up.  (Yes, seriously!)  Haha, my little nerd, I love it.  :o)  Keep up the good work babies!

Friday:
Due to LEAP testing, the kids got out of school early, and then they all went to a mini baseball camp to work on their skills.
"Oooh, I wonder what I can hit with this?"

We thought they would do some practicing, but instead they just quizzed them on how much they know about the game, how long they've played, etc., so they could group them for the rest of the camp on Saturday.
So we just kinda hung out.

I spotted this sign just outside the field.
"Would you please allow the players to play, the coaches to coach, the umpires to umpire, so you may enjoy the ball game."  Haha, I hope that discourages those parents that get a little over-enthusiastic about this stuff.  We'll see!  ;o)

When they were done with quizzing, Chris played catch with them.
And they all have their own gloves now too!  (So cute!)

:o)

Saturday:
We got up bright and early and went to a giant yard and craft sale on base.  I had a great time.  :o)  Hehe, the kids enjoyed getting some new books too, but yeah, a lot of fun.  Then Chris took the kids to their all-day baseball camp, while Emily and I danced and cleaned the house.
He said it was pretty cool because they did a lot of one-on-one help with them. (Sorry the pics are hard to see.)

They even fed them hot dogs and pizza for lunch, which they all loved.

Unfortunately, they all came home looking like little lobster babies.
Haha, my poor midgets got burnt!

I guess they all just got caught up in the excitement of baseball and forgot to put anything on.  *rolls eyes*  Haha, oh well.  It's nothing serious, they were just pretty lobster-looking for a couple of days.

Sunday:
Quick pic before church.

We spent the day indoors, i.e. out of the sun, just hanging out and playing games.

And later that night, we finally sat down and watched the new Muppets movie together!
Emily says, "Yay for popcorn!"

I really didn't know what to expect from this movie, and it was kinda weird, but oh my gosh - we had soooo much fun watching it together!

Not that it's a great movie or anything, but we all laughed and just enjoyed the characters and jokes a lot.  Especially Emily.  I don't know if she's ever seen any Muppets before, but she loved it.  She even got out the microphone from the Wii stuff and started dancing and "singing" to the songs.
"Mahna mahna."

Lol!

Yeah, I already put it on for her again today.  :o)

Quick bonus pic from this morning.
Evie bought herself a new bean bag chair that Emily will not stay out of.  :o)

And that's it.  The kids get out of school early again today because of LEAP.  And they're Spring Break starts on Friday!  Yay!  We'll be coming into town on Friday and will probably be around until Wednesday or so. (And Chris and I are going to Buzzfest on Saturday, woohoo!)  I'm not sure what our other plans are, but we look forward to visiting with everybody.  :o)  Hope you have a great week!

Laters!
